Celebrating the primitive yet pristine the physical make-up of these pieces are derived or inspired by the very forces of nature which surround us. Design can be functional, daring, conventional or even unintentional however it is almost always “inspired” by something. The Elemental focus for 2016 celebrates pieces that are partly manufactured by mother earth; constructed from remnants and/or fragments of what she has left behind in her wake or grown from her abundant soil. This story speaks to the natural fibers, live-edge barks, stone, rope, and natural compounds that live on through design to enrich our life with their aesthetic beauty and functionality.
