Daniel Anderson
Daniel Anderson (b. 1979) received his B.F.A. from Syracuse University (USA) in 2001. Subsequently he studied classical art and painting in Florence (Italy). His work has been exhibited at galleries internationally: in New York and Washington DC (USA), London (United Kingdom) and New Delhi (India). In 2011 Daniel was selected for the Walk to Art Residency in Melbourne (Australia). He has a loyal collector base in the USA and abroad and his work has been placed in many corporate collections.
Having coined his work under the platform of “supreme abstraction” his visual capacity to explore the interplay between altered or abstracted forms and their surroundings is what makes Daniel’s work impactful. Aside from pioneering an entirely new form of sculpture and painting in his ‘sculpted canvas’ works that provide illusion and depth to painted movements, he looks to portray motion and energy as it relates to color, light & shadow in all of his works. Daniel’s works possess originality and uniqueness, taking abstraction to a new level with a hybrid of influences from personal style and interpretation. Even in their most imaginative abstract forms, his work embodies highly detailed techniques and rendering. The restless energy that drives him to create is visibly transferred to the canvas.
