The Fallen Empire Side Table, designed by Lara Bohinc, extends the collection’s exploration of time, erosion, and architectural memory into a more focused, intimate form. Conceived as a fragment of a larger whole, its sculptural geometry evokes the remnants of ancient structures—reduced, refined, and reimagined for contemporary interiors. Carved from solid marble, the piece reveals a dynamic interplay of jagged edges and softened planes—referencing the irregular beauty of ruins while maintaining a disciplined, modern silhouette. Subtle geometric cues—arches, apertures, and voids—emerge within the form, creating moments of depth, shadow, and visual tension. Though compact in scale, the table carries a monolithic weight—its presence defined not by size, but by density, material, and sculptural clarity. The natural veining and tonal variation of the stone further reinforce its singularity, ensuring each piece exists as a one-of-a-kind expression of material and form. More than a side table, Fallen Empire functions as a spatial accent—an object that introduces history, texture, and quiet narrative into the room.
