BILL SWIVEL DINING CHAIR

Designed by Simone Bonanni for Carpanese, the Bill chair features an upholstered design that minimizes visible structural elements in favor of abstract and sculptural forms. This aesthetic celebrates the balance among its key components: the swivel conical base, the rounded seat, and the vertically “cut” backrest, making Bill a striking statement piece. Inspired by the work of sculptor and performance artist Bill Dan, who creates temporary sculptures that achieve seemingly impossible balances by stacking stones and rough rocks, Bill explores the concept of balance. It examines the interplay between solid and void elements, materiality and space, as well as texture and contrasting surfaces. The swivel base is available in wood or lacquer, or can be upholstered in fabric or leather.
